What started as a love of flowers and a commitment to the land has grown into something we’re deeply proud of. We live and farm in Floyd, Virginia — a small mountain town with a big creative spirit — and everything we make starts right outside our door.
Farming taught us perseverance. It taught us patience. And it gave us a deep respect for the natural beauty in every bloom. When we felt confident in the idea of pressing flowers to bring that beauty to our customers, it felt like a natural next step from the life we were already living.
Today we grow, press, preserve, and craft — turning real flowers into wearable jewelry, home accents, and lasting keepsakes, all by hand, right here in Floyd.

We grow the flowers we press. Every stem starts in our greenhouses in Floyd — sustainably grown, hand-tended, and harvested at peak beauty. What you wear started in our soil.
No artificial dyes. No paints. No shortcuts. We honor each bloom just as nature made it, preserving its true color, shape, and story. Always have, always will.
Floyd is home, and community matters as much as craftsmanship to us. We partner with local shops, celebrate Appalachian traditions, and put family-rooted values into everything we do.
Two greenhouses, double the flower power
When we started, we had one greenhouse and a dream. We’ve since added a second, which has doubled our flower production and allowed us to grow more varieties, more consistently, throughout the season.
Growing our own flowers isn’t just practical — it’s the heart of what makes R & D Floral different. We know exactly where every bloom comes from, how it was grown, and when it was harvested. That kind of care doesn’t happen at scale. It happens here, by hand, on our land.
